Hello! So I figured I'd go ahead and give it a go today with a style post. This Stella and Dot tassel necklace has been in my jewelry collection for a couple years now with very minimal wear along with several other S&D pieces. A couple years ago after I had my first baby I was going a little stir crazy at home so I launched my business with S&D. It was good while it lasted; a few short months of trunk shows with family and friends. Then I hit a road block, got lazy and said well hey I got some great jewelry out of this experience. So needless to say I haven't really styled my necklaces much at all because where I work at Michael Kors the jewelry dress code is very simple. They want all attention on the clothing, even our nail polish must be of nude and natural colors, yikes! So I have been enjoying my time off of work for maternity leave with my second baby girl and breaking out old jewels that are really like new to me (and painting my nails fun colors!). Today I wore the tassel necklace with a linen J Crew dress I also got a couple years ago (ready to get my pay check so I can shop again!) and after church with a comfy laid back look of a forever 21 cotton top and J Crew striped maxi skirt. I think it worked great dressed up and dressed down which is why u love S&D and originally started selling it because the pieces are so versatile you can literally wear an awesome statement necklace with a t shirt and your look has gone from blah to fab in a second. Another reason I like the jewelry is the quality, you get a lot more wears out of S&D than you would cheap fashion jewelry but hey I even buy and love the cheap stuff! But it's always good to invest in some key pieces that are of better quality. Spend the big bucks on classic, timeless jewelry like pearls or gold hoops for example and the trendy stuff in my opinion is best spent less on since in a season or two it will be out. I love seeing the same necklace paired with different outfits and this is one look (or two!) that I will visit again. <Pictures are not the best quality as they are taken with IG with applied filters.>
Thanks for reading!
Best,
Rachel
